When I heard Spiritbox and Dan Braunstein (engineer) actually used Superior Drummer 3 for parts of their album I had to obviously take a shot recreating it for myself!

It's rumored they used the New York Studio SDX for the some of the sound, however I was able to get an almost identical mix using only the core library. Fine tuning the compression and EQ was the key to replicate their sound and of course a one-shot snare sample also helps! Fully mixed within Superior Drummer 3.

  1. No software included, please be sure you own Toontrack Superior Drummer 3 and required libraries
  2. Read the description and make sure you have the required libraries and all software is up to date.
  3. To load, click "Open-File" in Superior Drummer 3 and select the downloaded preset file.
